Currently, we only ship our products within the United States. This does include Alaska and Hawaii! *Please note that due to the distance, Alaska and Hawaii are not eligible for Free Shipping discounts at this time.
We do not offer gift note options at this time, however, you are more than welcome to utilize the “Company” line in checkout, to write your name or who it is from. On the shipping label, this will appear right below the receiver’s name. In addition, we do not include receipts in our shipments.
Orders ship out in the order they are received. We cannot delay the shipment of an order, so please be sure you will be in town to receive it.

If you really believe you need to make a change to your order, please email us at orders@basecoatnailsalon.com as soon as possible. Please put your order number in the subject line.
Once an order is placed, it is most likely that it is well on its way to getting packed and shipped to you. If you have entered the wrong address, please contact us within one hour of placing the order, so that we have time to fix the mistake before it ships out.
If the order has already shipped with an incorrect address, we suggest contacting USPS to try to reroute the package, and/or correct the address. We’re extremely sorry, but there is not a whole lot we can do. We cannot offer a refund or reship the product at no cost.
We know this policy probably isn’t what you wanted to read, but as a small business we simply cannot afford to reship or replace every order entered in user error. The easiest way to prevent this from happening is to carefully enter your address at checkout, and double check that it’s correct before placing your order.
If your order is incorrect, please contact us immediately. You can email orders@basecoatnailsalon.com, and include your order number in the subject line. We will work with you to make it right.
BASE COAT is not responsible for damaged packages at the hands of USPS. You will not be refunded nor will we ship out a replacement for your lost order. As the receiving party, you need to be the one to contact USPS to file a damage claim. We know this policy probably isn’t what you wanted to read, but as a small business we simply cannot afford to refund, reship or replace every order.
If you feel USPS has lost your order it is your responsibility to contact them first. We have the same tracking information as you do. As the receiving party, you need to be the one to contact USPS to reschedule a delivery, inquire about a lost package, file a damage claim or change the shipping address, etc.
BASE COAT is not able to freely replace or refund the items, but we will do our best to assist you in sorting out the situation with the carrier. This can in some instances take a few days to a few weeks. Once a package is tendered to the carrier, many factors are out of our control. If a package is marked as delivered, but missing from the point of delivery, we cannot be held responsible for refunding or replacing.
We sincerely thank you for your understanding!

Dibutyl Phthalate: Fetal exposure in the womb to oestrogenic chemicals and teratogens such as phthalates (including Dibutyl Phthalate) has been linked to fertility problems, child deformities, and cancer.
Toluene: Designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as hazardous waste, Toluene is known to cause asthma in previously healthy people, is toxic to reproduction, and can cause chromosome aberrations (aka change the structure of your DNA) that can lead to Down’s Syndrome in fetuses exposed to Toluene while in the womb. Other adverse reactions to Toluene exposure and inhalation include drowsiness, headaches and dizziness. Exposure to high doses of Toluene can impair memory, vision and hearing.
Formaldehyde: Formaldehyde is a chemical used in some other nail polish brands that the International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies as a known human carcinogen. Formaldehyde is also linked to asthma, neurotoxicity, and developmental toxicity. Formaldehyde is listed on the Proposition 65 list of the State of California.
Formaldehyde Resin (otherwise known as Tosylamide): Along with carrying the same dangers as Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin is known to cause contact dermatitis.
Camphor: As nails are the outer layers of the epidermis, Camphor is swiftly absorbed through them into the skin. From there, it crosses the placenta and has been implicated in fetal death and neonatal death (death of newborn children within the first 28 days of life). Other adverse reactions from skin absorption and ingestion of Camphor can include hallucinations and convulsions, and Camphor ingestion can even lead to coma. Camphor is listed on the Proposition 65 list of the State of California.
Xylene: This is the same solvent that used to be in permanent markers. Fetal exposure has been linked to fertility problems, child deformities, and cancer.
Ethyl Tosylamide: This chemical has been banned from personal care products in Europe (but not in the U.S.) because of its antibiotic properties and concerns over its antibiotic resistance.
Parabens: All parabens can cause skin sensitization and contact allergies. Certain parabens have been detected intact in the breast tissue of women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Lead: Lead has been labelled as a potential human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. It is a known carcinogen and reproductive toxicant as acknowledged by the State of California Environmental Protection Agency (Proposition 65 List of Carcinogens). Lead can cause skin and eye irritation; affect both the blood and central nervous system; and is toxic by ingestion, inhalation and skin absorption. Lead exposure presents a possible risk of impaired fertility and harm to unborn children. It has been banned from cosmetic products in Canada and the EU, due to its carcinogenicity and reproductive toxicity.
